Articles and Content for Blog Posts, Newsletters, and More
There’s too much to do in a day, you have too many hats to wear. Whatever your profession – contractor, health coach, realtor – your day is packed with a variety of tasks. And I bet you recently forgot to send out a birthday card or two.
Here are two more things you can add to your to-do list:
- Stay in touch with past clients, contacts, and leads;
- Be an expert and a resource.
Stay in touch with past clients? DIdn’t we just agree that you missed a few birthdays? And with everything else you have to do, you need to be a teacher, a resource, and an expert as well? Egads.
Take a deep breath. I can help you with that.
Newsletters – print and email – can be a way to reach out and connect with those people who are former clients, or maybe expressed an interest in your services but, at the time, weren’t quite ready to make a commitment. Posting regular articles – fresh, original content – on your blog or in emails, helps your website and keeps you current and in front of potential customers in the on-line world.
As a bonus, every bit of information you share with your readers has the potential of positioning you as an expert in their minds. You’re not the guy with the pop-up ads for discount kitchen cabinets. You’re the professional who knows how to design a kitchen. A kitchen for them. By serving as a resource you’ve built up trust with them – even if you haven’t met them yet.
Being visible and in touch lets people know you’re in business and your doors are open. It’s an opportunity to grow your audience base and make sales. Stay in the front of their minds and, when your prospect is ready to move forward with her project, you’ll be the one she thinks of.
