Thanks for stopping here and reading. As you take a stroll through these posts you may find:
- a words of the week (or month);
- some tips to strengthen your content – I might even deconstruct and rebuild the messaging of some willing participants;
- strategies for those nerve-wracking “you have 30 seconds to tell us who you are” networking moments;
- posts I’ve shared from other companies and non-profits, so you can see how they’re handling their communications;
- occasional random thoughts, and even stories about people and organizations who might be doing amazing things, or I find to be interesting;
and more!
Oh. And what’s up with all of the bird/fungi/nature photos on my posts? Well, I really dislike business-related stock photography. You know the kind I’m talking about: A photo of a woman in a business suit, wearing a trendy pair of eyeglasses. Her head is tilted to one side, she has a quizzical look on her face, and there’s a thought bubble above her head, with an image of a lightbulb inside. Yuck.
I hike and birdwatch, and usually try to document my bird sightings. And when I can’t find any birds or they won’t sit still, I take photos of fungi. Or flowers. They’re pretty reliable that way. They don’t move around too much. So, if I can creatively make one of those photos fit the topic at hand, I use it.
Enjoy, and again, thanks for reading.
